I'm David - candidate for the CA

The day before yesterday I was ”kidnapped” buy the committee of finding new CA-members…

Well I knew this could happen to people from countries that candidates for a RIDEF. So I wasn’t much surprised. And I also know that the FIMEM is preparing for a shift to get people from younger generations into the CA.

So I had only one day to think of this, and the first thought was to say no because I’m really to busy and speak only English. But I have discussed the inviting with my wife and collegues in Sweden and decided to say yes and see what this will be like. I see that the organisation need some modernisation. Well some improvals has been done. I like the new web site. It’s a working platform of co operation comparing to last one.

So I think that I can help with improving the digital communication so that co operation between the RIDEFs will increase – maybe explode if we give much more attention to show the members how to use the tools on the RIDEF:s.

Well let me tell you something about my background. I’m 42 and have been working as a teacher since 1995. But had a three year brake when I studied sociology, and journalism on the university of Göteborg, at the westcoast of  Sweden.  And got my first son, Joel, who is 14 years old now, playing ice hockey four times a week.

The other son is only 4 years old: Jakob – my little pearl from Chonqxing in China. Me and my wife Johanna, who are a socialworker, went to China in 2009 to meet him for the very first time, so he has been a part of our family for three years now. And he is the reason why I leave the RIDEF in the middle of the week to continue the co operation from home. He is very attached to his dad this summer. I should have taken him to León but some circumstances made me to go alone. So in the rest of the RIDEF I will prove that it’s possible co operate from a distance (we have to think outside the box much more – there are lots of members who could participate in León if they knew how to use the tools).

Well, what’s more to add? Yes I work with pupils from 10 years old to 16 years old. A lot of practising journalism with the kids. No Limit is the name of our paper: www.webnews.textalk.com/nolimit. I have been a member of the Swedish council for seven years. Employed by Ulf Pålsson, the principal of Freinetskolan Bild & Form Göteborg since 2002. A Freinetschool stressing on the princip of letting the pupils express them selves free and in many techniques.

Avant-hier, j'ai été "kidnappé" par le comité chargé de trouver de nouveaux membres pour le CA...

Eh bien, je savais que cela pouvait arriver à des gens en provenance de pays que les candidats pour un RIDEF. Je n'étais donc pas très surpris. Et je sais aussi que la FIMEM se prépare à un changement :  amener les jeunes générations dans le CA.

J'ai donc eu un seul jour pour penser à cela, et ma première pensée a été de dire non parce que je suis vraiment occupé et ne parle que l'anglais. Mais j'ai discuté de l'accueil chaleureux avec ma femme et des collègues en Suède et ai décidé de dire oui et voir comment cela sera. Je vois que l'organisation a besoin de modernisation. Certains changements ont déjà eu lieu. J'aime le nouveau site web. C'est une vraie plate-forme de travail de coopération.

Donc, je pense que je peux aider à l'amélioration de la communication numérique, de sorte que la coopération entre les RIDEFs va augmenter - peut-être exploser si nous accordons une attention beaucoup plus grande à montrer aux membres comment utiliser les outils de la RIDEF.

Eh bien laissez-moi vous dire quelque chose sur mon parcours. J'ai 42 ans et ai travaillé en tant que professeur depuis 1995. Mais avec un arrêt de trois années où j'ai étudié la sociologie et le journalisme à l'université de Göteborg, à la côte ouest de la Suède. Et  mon premier fils Joel est arrivé. Il  est âgé de 14 ans maintenant et joue au hockey sur glace quatre fois par semaine.

L'autre fils a seulement 4 ans: Jakob - ma petite perle de Chonqxing en Chine. Moi et ma femme, Johanna,  travailleuse sociale, est allée en Chine en 2009 et l'a  rencontré pour la première fois, de sorte qu'il fait partie de notre famille depuis trois ans. Et il est la raison pour laquelle je quitte la RIDEF au milieu de la semaine afin de poursuivre la coopération de la maison. Il est très attaché à son père cet été. Je l'aurais pris à León, mais certaines circonstances ont fait que je suis venu seul. Ainsi, pour le restant de la RIDEF, je vais prouver qu'il est possible de coopérer à distance (nous devons penser à l'extérieur de la boîte de beaucoup plus - il ya beaucoup de membres qui pourraient participer à León s'ils savaient comment utiliser les outils).

Eh bien, quoi de plus à ajouter? Oui, je travaille avec des élèves de 10 ans à 16 ans. Un grand nombre de pratiquer le journalisme avec les enfants. No Limit est le nom de notre journal: www.webnews.textalk.com / nolimit. J'ai été un membre du conseil suédois durant sept ans. Employé par Ulf Pålsson, le directeur de Freinetskolan Bild & Form Göteborg depuis 2002. Un école Freinet insistant sur le principe de laisser les élèves s'exprimer eux-mêmes librememt et dans de nombreuses techniques.
